The daughter of a single-parent household, she learned early that strength is forged through perseverance and that no environment can dim a woman’s light when she is committed to her purpose.

Throughout her career, Akia has worn many hats: from a stockbroker serving high-net-worth clients on Wall Street to a Certified Business Coach guiding senior leadership roles with some of the world’s most recognized companies, including Citibank, JPMorgan, Apple, Google, and Microsoft. Her path has been anything but ordinary. As an ambitious entrepreneur, Akia has founded nine businesses and consulted for many others, blending her corporate expertise with her entrepreneurial fire. In 2015, she officially launched Optimize Your Spark©, after years of informally coaching business leaders and visionaries. And Spark7 Marketing© in 2025.  Today, she is a Certified Life and Business Coach who empowers her clients to build clarity, confidence, and strategy. Her coaching spans mindset, branding, strategy, operations, pricing, marketing, and sales.  At her core, she's about helping people unlock their full potential and scale their dreams with purpose.
